LED string lights have many advantages over traditional incandescent string lights. First, you can connect far more strings end to end. If connecting just this set of 100 lights, you can connect up to 27 strands end to end. If combining with other stands do not exceed 216 watts (1.8 Amps). LED sets are more cost efficient over the life of the product. While the cost up front is higher, this LED string light uses only 25% of the electricity of incandescent bulbs, so over time they end up costing you less. Another factor that helps LED sets become more cost efficient over time is their durability. Traditional incandescent bulbs feature a fragile filament susceptible to wind, cold, heat, etc. LED bulbs get their light from a microchip that is far less likely to fail. Incandescent bulbs are made of glass, which can break. LED bulbs are made of a durable plastic. Safety is another benefit of LED light sets, as they don’t get hot to the touch. Incandescent lights will get hot to the touch, leading to potential safety risks. These lights are ideal for outdoor decorating of patios, decks, gardens, trees, shrubs, etc. Also works well for parties, weddings and other events. Can also be used indoors in bedrooms, around windows, to decorate trees, etc. The cool light emitted by these strands is different than the traditional warm white light of incandescent bulbs. If you prefer the warm white look, I would suggest staying with one of our traditional incandescent string lights.
